Post Quick question regarding brake light

Can somebody verify that this is normal. When the brakes are pressed, the third brake light on the trunk lid comes on a split second before the other two side brake lights come on. They don't come on at exactly the same time.

Was messing around with radar detector wiring and just want to make sure I didn't mess anything up with the fuses/relays back there. Passport
8500 started giving me "Service Required".

Yup, the centre lights are LED's react much faster than the old filament bulbs. If you look long enough you will see that one side actually comes on faster than the other side too. I was really really bored one night and noticed that as well.

I would like to find LED replacements for the brake lights anyone know about those?

Yeah, I noticed that the 3rd brake light comes on first, then the passenger side then the driver side. Haha..I think we need to find better things to do.

You all are correct in that LED's illuminate much faster. Benz uses them in certain applications just for that reason.....
