For a sedan I'll give it a full 10/10... I often find people giving double takes and thumbs up... The funny thing is that the Bimmer guys (esp. 3-series drivers) pretend they don't see it.

Yeah I noticed that too....

BMW guys only see other BMWs. To them, the rest of the carworld doesn't exist. That explains why they always cut me off!

Yep, i've gotten a lot of thumbs up & stares because of my car. Much more than i did with my C32, don't know why. I also get a lot of people staring at my brakes, which i find funny.

In the last month i've had a guy in an X5, tell me that my car was beautiful, & another guy in a fixed up civic, tell me and i quote "Is that a real C55, that **** is ****ing bad" lol

I personally don't really notice people looking when i'm driving around the campus, but last time my roommate dropped me off for class he said he does notice a lot of people are looking.

Yeah I noticed the same... I think one thing is that my car is Black and looks sleeker than my old silver C32. Another thing is the 4 exhausts, 18 inch wheels (which look better than the similarly designed C32 Wheels), and the CLK nose. Also a lot of people aren't as up to date with the latest cars (unlike us car nuts) and don't know about the C55. Most people I've spoken to think it has the supercharged V8...

OMG! that sounds so similar to me! I somehow notice people staring at the front brakes also. I also have once got some guy in a riced out accord say "that ****s bad" too! lol! :p Then some guy in a M3 on the highway made me roll my window down and said "that car is beautiful man". (I guess some bimmer guys are not to bad after all) :p Then some thumbs up also. I dont know, i dont think its getting as much attention as it did when i first got it?

i think my drop is the main thing that attracts attention for what little i get. most recognition has been from japanese cars...mainly fixed up wrx's. i think my exhaust will get attention honestly i think those who are in the tuning community will recognize such cars as C32, but most others don't and i think that if any turn factor at all would be for C55's honestly cause they're new. some 330ci's give recognition but strangely its the e46 325, 323, and 328i sedans who give you no look even though you can tell they're slightly modded, so they know what's up. not that i demand any attention but when you let the other guy know you're complementing him...no need for the rest of those e46 guys to turn the other way after that
