Less - Resonator
what are the effects of removing my resonator? besides a slight improvement in sound?
will I gain or lose any power? EVEN 1 hp +/-??
i would really like to know....

There should be no warranty effect. Under Federal law in order to deny warranty coverage on the basis of a modification the dealership must prove that the modification caused the problem.

If I remember correctly, the resonator is right in fron tof the muffler between the muffler and cat. It is an easy cut and replace with a straight pipe procedure. Should not take long and is almost impossible to screw up. Hope this helps.
In theory, when the exhaust "components are modified to increase flow out of the engine, pumping losses are reduced. Pumping losses refer to the amount of horsepower (HP) used to push the exhaust gases out of the cylinders on the engine's exhaust stroke. Since less HP is used to get the exhaust out of the engine, more horsepower is available at the flywheel.
