Those CLK63 brakes look hot as hell. The last photo of the garage with the two W203's also looks great as well.
And I didn't know about the gold caliper deal......as much as I wanted to do some future track days, this makes me question whether I want to do it now.

I think the deal in the posted link is about the gold calipers on his newly picked up car- which suggests the car been driven hard. Then it went off-topic after a few posts. The gold caliper doesn't mean its broken or anything (if I read the posts right).
I personally love the look of the gold calipers, and I agree with firstshadow, it's bulit to track.

Anyways, what they were saying was that when the calipers get hot enough to turn gold, the rotors might become warped or cracked in some spots...so just a heads up and you might wanna double check them. But the calipers should be fine...I personally think they look pretty nice like that too. Kind of like stock brembo's.

The color is fine I guess, I just picture certain car makers with certain colors thats all (and I think they look good with):
Subaru: gold, yessss
AMG: silver (everything else, meh)
Ferrari: red (their yellow is fugly)
Audi S-line: black
Lambo: car color
Porsche: red, but look good in many colors really
Just my personal preferences, in the end they all use Brembo anyway
