Sorry to hear about the situation you were in. I guess 2 things came against you, one is you were young and second is you were driving a benz. The cops hate that combo and wanted to take out their frustration on you. However I do have a couple of questions for you.

1) Why didnt you call a family member, like your parents instead of your friend?

2) Since you were a no show for work, do still have a job or are you ok in that area?

Uh, Miranada (MIRANDA v. ARIZONA, 384 U.S. 436 (1966), only has to do with questioning. If he wasn't questioned, and I don't see why he would have been with radar evidence, Miranda isn't an issue.

Sorry to here that, makes me feel that I am not the only person with such problems with cops. But I have a hearing coming up December 13, for a weird case that I was driving in Oct. and stopped because the system showed that my liscense is suspended, but it was my international liscense, not my Mass, but they still arrested me and I was bailded out.My lawyer went to the RMV recently (DMV in some states) to figure out what was the problem behind suspending my international liscense when I had a Mass liscense which is active and still is, but he was shocked when they told him that in May of this year, another court that I had a case with 2 years ago sent a Memo to the RMV stating that I didn't settle the case with them and not paid all the fines, which the RMV told the lawyer based on that they suspended my liscense, however it seemed that I paid a ticket in May, which I never got anything since I moved to my new address and that it went to the old address, I know complicating already, well I hope all of you guyz wish me luck and be glad if you have any advices.

1. I get stopped b/c they want to check my license and registration and the ******* asks if I stole the car.

2. last month I get stopped on an HOV lane by a trooper when I had 2 ppl in the car driving within speed limit and since he saw I had 2 ppl in the car, he made up a BS excuse about pacing me and that i was going 80 in a 55 (how could he have been pacing me when I was driving at speed limit and there was a car behind me, in front of me, and to the right of me... he purposely cut off the guy behind me to get me for NOTHING.) Currently im taking this ******* to court!!! I'd love to see him prove with any sorta evidence that he was pacing me!!! This guy was probably trying to fill his ticket quota, stopped me b/c he thought he didnt see anybody in my passenger seat and when he came up to me and did, he probably made a BS excuse so that he didnt waste his time pulling over somebody INNOCENT.

3. about a year ago, i go to pick up a girlfriend of mine at a street race b/c she didnt want to be there anymore and the cops block off all exits as i get there then let everyone go except me at the end of the night. Racist *******s make racist comments and chinese jokes towards me. Makes me take everything out of my car, checks my car for drugs, asked waht that white dust on my center console was (it was dust from the altoids), i answer him politely and ask if i can go now then he calls me a gook and makes me stay longer. At the end of the night, every1 was free to go but I was the only one who ended up leaving latest and with a street racing ticket.

4. Last night as I am driving home, I come to a construction zone, there is raw sewage with rocks, dirty water, and crap all over the road and as i try to make a U turn when it was 2am with no traffic around, ******* cop stops me and makes me go right through that crap water and rocks....I am risking banging up my rims on those rocks (thanks God I was lucky and my rims were OK) and the residue from that dirty water I drove through that splashed all in my wheel well wont come off my front plastic fenderliners now.

I HATE COPS I HATE COPS I HATE COPS...
I feel your pain Honson. S. Florida cops can be *****s when they see a young person driving an expensive car. I've had a similar experience before.

About 2 months ago I was driving w/ my friends from downtown Miami going to S. Beach. I took the bridge by the port. There was a Lambo Murcielago and it was a kid driving it. We both were going about 100mph (obviously he was just playing around w/ me, that car can kick my a$$), the speed limit is 45mph. Infront of Star Island. there were 2 motorcycle cops. They stopped both of us. One of the cops let the kid in the lambo leave and the other cop says "Whos paying for the car? Mommy? Daddy?" I said none. I pay everything myself I dont need mommy or daddy. I pay everything myself. The cop told us to get out of the car and his partner started to search the car. The cop didnt find anything, so he said "Thats good!! no drugs, no alcohol" but I have to give you a ticket. He said that he clocked me at 93mph. I asked the cop what happened to the kid in a Lambo, he said dont worry about it (that *******). So the ticket was $580. I'm still waiting for the court date. My lawyer told me to plea no contest.

Couple of things for you younger guys, drop the attitudes. You will never win that fight with a cop. These guys get shot at for 35K a year, cut them some slack. Sometimes you get the short end of it, I used to get pulled over for the same stuff, learn to be cool with these guys, show some respect, be apologetic, ask for some leniency. The judge makes the final determination not the cop. He is an observer for the court. Don't plead your case in front of the cop, if you disagree with him or her its better not to say anything.

Lastly, driving is a priviledge not a right, if you want to drive get out of your pampers and act like you can take some responsibility for what you are doing out there. Every one of you has done something ticket worthy probably every time you get behind the wheel so deal with the fact that it cathces up with you once in awhile. If you are seriously interested in knowing what a cop sees do a ride along, all of your "myths" will quickly be disspelled.

I'm sure most cops are out there with good intention but I have had a majority of bad experiences with them... all which have led me to hate most of them!!! I dont see any right in pulling somebody over who was obeying all traffic laws and then sticking them with a BS ticket for speeding when the person isnt speeding. I can not justify what he did, nor can I justify the actions of the few cops ive ran across who have been very racist towards me. Most FL cops are crooked.

"These guys get shot at for 35K a year, cut them some slack"
That is like justifying a person who murdered 4 innocent children, but it is ok b/c he saved 2 elderly women a week before he killed and raped 4 innocent children. Crooked cops deserve to get shot at IMO... doesnt matter if they make $35k or $350k a year, a crooked cop is a crooked cop, a sin is a sin, shoot a window with a small bullet or throw a boulder through it, either way the window is damaged and has to be replaced, no matter how big the hole. If the cop is a racist or unjust @$$hole then he is still an @$$hole, no matter how many lives he's saved or how low his salary is.

You have issues. You don't seem to be able to control your emotions well and it makes me think you may indeed be deserving of the enforcement you are experiencing.

Like I said, if you were a big boy you could take control of this situation. Go down to the station and talk to the patrol captain or the chief. These people work for you, explain your discontent. If you do so with some maturity and clarity they will respect you and offer you advice on how better to interact with the police and better yet how to avoid them.

Its easy for you to say that, you were never put in my situation!!! Im normally passive but the crap I have been put through and the money that these law enforcement officials have made me waste is not something easily brushed off. Ive gotten tickets before in teh past that I deserve and I dont complain about them, but when I get busted underservingly then that is what builds upon my anger. Im sure youve never had a problem with being oppressed or having racist issues with officers but I sure have. This isnt about maturity... one cant vent his anger? Its normally the ones who dont vent their anger and keep it stored inside that end up being the psychopaths and trench coat mafias of this world. I am just particularly "expressive" when venting.

Well I'm glad to hear that, now do something about it. Go down to the station or precinct and tell them you feel like you you are being unlawfully stopped and ask them to explain why. I got pulled over three times in one month going to and from work and finally went down to the station and talked to the Patrol Captain or Lieutenant (one step below the chief) and said WTF and sure enough no more problems. Were they profiling me, probably, did they stop when I said knock it the f'off? Yes.
