I am going to be replacing my rotors and pads in the coming weeks and I have Esco jack stands with the circular, flat saddles. Has anyone used these on the C55 at the side jacking points with the rubber pads? I'm concerned that these might not be best to use given the small area space of that rubber pad and potential to damage the side skirts. Perhaps u-shaped saddles are better? What is everyone using? Below are the jack stands I have. Thanks all!
I don't think that will be a problem as long as they are seated on the reinforced area. Project Farm included these in one of his YouTube videos and they were pretty strong but a bit tippy with only 3 legs. Be careful and use in as flat an area as you can.
I have the crappy Harbor Freight 6 ton jack stands and they're fine - I just don't extend them. Ever.
