275's are way too large for any 8.5" width wheel. The most common upgrade is 235 front 255 rear. You could stick with the 225 front and select a 255 rear for a little more grip if you wish. Unless you push the car extremely hard, try a max performance summer tire first like the PS2 or SO3 or a DOT R compound and see how you like the difference over stock. Ultimately, if you want to change the handling characteristics significantly, you will need to increase the size of both the wheels and tires.

Maybe you should define what you mean by "sufficient" and qualify it by explaining what precisely you don't like about the stock tires and what you are trying to improve.
