Well, many ppl here still thinks fuel cost is not an issue.
Our living standard here is not low, and when we do drive a C55
and go to work every day, say a daily 60km.
With the parking fees, it costs 10% of the monthly income of a very senior manager here!

I enjoy and treasure every moment on this amazing machine !
And, I am thankful because I am still survived

Good The C32k/C55 are very nice cars, they are very rare here.. Thats what I like about them. Unlike M3s (Which I tend to like too) are very common. This is the same reason I like the new Volvo S60R (300bhp/400Nm), ok not as fast or thrilling as the C AMG, the fact that is very rare makes you feel special to own one.

This a C55 AMG sitting in the dealers showroom:

From what I was led to understand the new DOHC V8s will be:

4.6L - 325-340hp, depending on model
5.5L - 400-420hp, depending on model
6.3L - 500+hp, depending on model

Now the model designations for the new DOHC 5.5L models may very well be "60", because that sends the message that they carry a new V8, whereas leaving them as "55" does not. This is similar to what BMW did with the new 540i->545i and 740i->745i when upgrading to the Valvetronic V8s.

I have my doubts about a C63, SLK63 or CLK63, for the same reasons that those models don't get the supercharged V8s today: They'd absolutely blow away the heavier, more pricy S, CL, and SL models. Even the E gets downrated (or at least on paper) to 469hp today so as not to upset the purchasers of the "more presitigious" $100k+ models.

Furthermore, I was under the impression that any model that has a "500" trim level model today and that will also get a "63" AMG counterpart tommorow, will, in addition, get the 5.5L DOHC in a non-AMG model as well.

Now I could be totally f'd in the head here, so who knows. But basically (and throwing in the V6 models for good measure) for the US, I was expecting:

C300, C350, C60
CLK350, CLK460, CLK60
SLK350, SLK60
ML350, ML460, ML60

E350, E460, E550, E63
CLS350, CLS460, CLS550, CLS63

S460, S550, S63
CL550, CL63
SL550, SL63

(obviously, V12 models are not included above)
