Thanx for the link Carl (I'm 98c43amg on Club202.com) ...I'm going through withdrawl with the car still sitting @ Jefferey's house. I'll be picking it up Tuesday after picking my wife up @ the airport. ...can't wait to get behind the wheel ... and it's been YEARS since I felt that about my car!

All other readers ...soon -- only days I hope, though when I thought it was to be weeks it's been months, so I never know... -- I should be receiving a complete Speedybenz's custom suspension, and will be getting an LSD installed @ the same time I have that installed.

PIX are up!

I didn't take pix of the motor going in because it's basically the same as it coming out, just in reverse! :p

Nice pics C43 - just curious - I looked at the picture of the engine before it was pulled - where is the plaque from the AMG engine builder ? I have yet to pull the engine cover from my C43 and was wondering where it was located.

Interesting pics, seems like you have giving a whole new meaning to the term "tree shade mechanics". How long did the install take?

...the mechanic actually own his own Mercedes Star Diagnosis Computer (he doesn't borrow it from work).

I first thought =all= the work was 20 hrs, but it was more like 30hrs (had a valve job done to the motor). The actual time to do the swap and start the motor was I'd say about 12 hrs.

You can read all about it here.

I was asking the mechanic who did the work the very same thing ... he said these didn't have it. Something like "that's 2003 and newer to supercharged engines ... they sign the top of the supercharger ... nothing on these".

I know, but I've yet to find one car with it if it exists ... have a look around your engine. You don't have to take the whole air filter off, just the front plate and that should expose a good deal. Lemme know...
