Spring pad #'s, the same for each model???

Hey guys,

I know that there are many #'s available but was curious as to if they are model specific.

Ex. Would my C43 have lets say, #3 all around. Would a C280 have #4 all around ext......???

Basically, is there a pad # combo used on all stock C43 suspensions or do you have to find out once the suspension is torn down??

I'm pre-planning my suspension mods for an install within a couple months. I want to have an even gap front to back. It' obvious factory settings have a larger gap for the front. I will most likely use eibach which drop a unifrom 1.2 all around. So basically I was wondering if say, the C43 has #3 all around for example. I will then know beforehand that probably a #2 for the front will even out the gap. Just curious...

THANKS

no, at least, i don't think so... my 96 c36 has some of the thickest spring pads. my friend's 95 c280 with stock suspension and 17" looked about an inch lower. then again.. my c36 didn't come with 4 piston calipers either

The w202, a/c209 and the w210 have the same spring pads. I once used some from a w210 on my C43.

Pads are all interchangable between 208, 210 and quite possibly 202, 203, 209 as well. There is no guarantee that all W210 E320 will have the same pad #. The differing thicknesses were used to optimize the ride height between cars with different options.
