replaced the battery about 6 months ago. the check battery light just came on yesterday while the engine is running. it's also on prior to start, like usual, only it stays somewhat on while engine is running. and it dims with the amount of rpm the engine is running at. the manual says it could be the conveyer v belt may be out or something.. and won't drive the water pump properly.. something like that. anyway, got any ideas b4 i take it in to have it checked out? thanx

maybe you might want to check your alternator, if the alternator is going out, it will not charge your battery.

yup, alternator. thanx. but i took it too late to the dealer... by a block. i was stranded in the middle of the road at the stoplight... had to run to the volvo dealer first (which i go to for the other car) and get some of them to push the car down the street around the block to the mb dealer. hahaha. couldn't even put on the hazard blinkers...

did you end up taking your car to the folsom dealer? also how much did they charge you for the alternator?
