1995 c36 buying advice
Considering a 1995 c36 with 168k miles, $6000. I've read over the forum, can't seem to find any common problems. I'll have a PPI done, the car doesn't appear abused visually. any comments?

thats a lotta miles, but 6k is a steal for a C36. The PPI should tell you quite a bit about what you are getting into. Keep in mind that although the drivetrain may be mechanically sound and in good condition, a higher mileage car like that may very well start experiencing other problems around that time in its life. With my w201, my experience has been that although MB's will run for 100, 200, 300k miles, its the little things that will fail. Electrical components, seats, door-locks, interior pieces, pumps, motors, radiator.....I have had problems with all of these things since 170k miles. These little things were really what nickle-and-dimed me to death in the end......and the reason why I bought the C43. Anyways, not trying to steer you away of what sounds to be a nice car at a totally reasonable price....just a couple things to think about. It may be advisable to hold out and try and find a '97 w/ lower mileage if the C36 is what you are really set on. Just my .02....good luck!

Thanks much for the advice. I went by at lunch yesterday, car was not on the lot. I did find some info on harness issues. Here's the link...
