Definetely I get your point. I felt like that when I was 16>28 years old. I am 37 now have 2 kids. I am not into racing or showing off anymore. I just feel extremely privilidged to own this 1 of 1500 c43. I am sure, if a loser comes next to me with a Camaro, or Trans Am, or an old Porsche or something, depending on my mood, I might tease him/her probably.... But right now I am enjoying a rare MERCEDES that runs like a PORSCHE (literaly)

When my time comes and i stand next to any other big shot who thinks he could outpower me, they will have one hell of a surprise. Hope you get my point.

sup C43silver, so when we are we getting the meet on...?That STI is sick. I saw it very nice. Well my C32 stock was putting 279 + or - 1 HP to the wheel. So he is doing pretty good, compared to the stock STI which come with 300HP from factory. C32 comes with 349 and loosses aprox 17-20%.

Jody- when it gets nicer out and stays a decent temp. for more than a damned day hot cold its like a game.

Varder- saying that is like me saying "I cant believe your comparing your luxury sedan to running like a porsche." Oh yes and please let me know how the STI is a rice cooker?

at least its more reliable then our german cars! If you don't know what the term rice is then please don't use it. STi's, Evos, Skylines, are not rice. Sure they look like RC cars, but they're built like that for a purpose. Its apples to oranges guys. STi, and Evos are ment to be dirven on cicuits, whereas our luxo cruiser(AMG, M3, S4) are ment for the autobhan. And Varder, you're sounding just like a 20yr now too

If you wanna talk about Japanese rice cookers, go to Subaru or Mitsu forums, and brag all about them. You are in the wrong spot boyzzzzzzz..

Oh by the way Vardar is not only my user name, it is my last name too. VARDAR not varder, did you boys go to school too?

Oh yes im bragging about the STI I believe I was just stating one of the reasons on why I wanted more power. I never compared the two, you just went on to blab about how they are rice cookers. Why would I go to Subbie or mitsubishi forums when I own a benz? Your blazing statement about my age with your little smiley faces makes absolutely no sense you never answered my question. How the hell does your c43 compare to a porsche enlighten me as my meek little 20 year old brain doesnt function near yours. Now if you excuse me ill go sing my ABCs since apparently I didn't go to school, hey gotta learn sometime.

Guys let's not loose focus of our thread, STI are nice fun cars and people praise them for their capabilities for far much less the money than an AMG, guys over at the E55 forum are giving them praise for beating some of the E55 after they are heavily modified. I praise my AMG because i love my kompressor, you praise your C43 because its your and it is unique. What I am trying to say is let's just get along and my mistake if I brought the STI to the forum.

Speed and Power is like Heroin(not that I know )

Once you get a taste for some....it's never enough.

I went to this car from a 200hp kompressor and it's a hell of alot faster. However, I find myself wanting more....I mean alot more power.

I want to have a car so much snap that people are not comfortable driving in it

yeah, this thread is getting pretty ridiculous. I probably wouldn't take a guy's insults very seriously if he says something like "The speed limits in the US are 70 mph, so why do you want more HP?" in an AMG forum though......sounds like another person bought an AMG for all the wrong reasons......

back on topic, please POST PICS when you start work on that '55K motor. God that will be siiiiickkkk

I saw a video of 2 E55's with some kleeman upgrades get into the mid 10's. I think since the C32 is light and i do plan to modify the engine after installation to get max performance out it should be getting in the low 10's...hell i hope to brake in the high 9's, but i doubt it. you need some serious HP for that, saw a 900 HP supra do it in low 9's and high 8's. It was crazy.

Good luck on the transformation and keep us posted I was planning on getting a Kleemann s/c for my car this summer, but with the prices of these 55K motors, I'm getting other ideas

Hey Carl, you are right the HPS gen 1 is cheap and it works, unlike the new Gen 2. The Gen2 is having a ton of problems with no end in site.
I just had my blower rebuilt and my car feels much better. I'm guessing I gained about 15whp, bringing the total to 375whp and 395wtq. Not bad for how little it cost me. I could get headers and get 20whp more but that would cost me more than my whole supercharger which gave me 85whp. Not sure if it would be worth it to me.
Which superchager company are you leaning towards?

There is no need to apologies for mentioning a STi. Some people are just not mature enough to realize that they are good cars. My brother owns a STi and while its not my cup of tea, I respect it, becuase it deserver respect, unlike some people on this board. Good luck with your swap, I know i had some headaches with mine and it was suppose to be plug and play.

What kind of swap did you do? tell me about the stress part, I am trying to prepare for it, cause i know i am opening a can of worms, lol. But I pray it will go smooth, according to the tech he has more experience and has done a few, let's hope it goes well.

In respect to the STI i really like them, they are super nice. My neighbor has one and i am affraid of challenging him, he might kick my A.. his is modded and it sounds like a mean monster under the hood. I will challenge him..after my swap. lol!

I'm one with a 5.4L W202 conversion. It was plug and play, but just had some issues with coolant leaks and oil leaks, and then my tranny blowing out on me.

E320CDI, CLK55, and a Smart
Speaking of which, I am sending out a feeler to see if anyone is interested in my 2001 CLK55 V8 engine with a retrofitted AMG s/c installed on it. Engine has 37k miles s/c has about 10k miles. I also have the transmission (replaced 2k miles ago just for precautionary reasons under factory warranty) and the ECU. Everything is still in the car, but I wanted to see if people were interested in the whole package (ie Engine/Transmission/ECU/Wiring Harness).

I have a Dyno sheet that shows 369 RWHP, so far, and I plan on getting it tweaked to even more using a different FMU and fuel pump booster that I will include with the purchase of the engine.

I also had made a custom pulley $2,000 to make the boost around 6lbs.

email me if interested.
