Question C36 Water Pump issues

Well my lovely adored C36 finally has started having things go wrong. Last month a new Rad was needed - picked up a brand new one off eBay for £100!! well happy. I fitted that only to find my water pump screaling like a ***** on heat when I acelerated! So a new water pump it is. EuroCarParts have one that weighs in at £100 so not too bad but im trying to fit it and come across probs - well to start with I cant remove the old one
All the rubber pipes are off, the 2 metal pipes are okk and 2 connectors but the 4 screws that hold the pump onto the side of the engine are mad. Firstly I cant find a socket tool that will fit the size connector it wants , and even when I do eventually find one how teh hell are you supposed to unscrew these - they are so hard to get to - and thats just teh top 2 and the bottom rear one - how the hell do you get to the bottom front screw? Is there anyone out there who has done this themselves and know whats involved and can give me some pointers? Is it a 'special' tool thats needed to get the screws undone? I dunno but if anyone out there does please help as im desperate to get my AMG kicks again

Cheers all in advance

Its all about the right tools. I have repaired countless water pumps on these engines and I couldnt have done it without my stubby 5mm allen key. It looks difficult but it is possible.

well I have ALL pipes etc disconnected and I hve 2 of the 4 screws that hold the Water Pump in place removed - it took a 6mm allen key though not a 5mm. Problem is the REAR 2 screws I can get out - both the top and bottom one - the screw head has been screwed so many times it now is just a cirle rather than a hex shape - meaning I cant get teh damn thing out . I have tried putting maybe a 7mm allen in - banging it is best I can then turning but no good - just wont budge so now I have 2 screws that I cant get out with a water pump that dont work

Anybody got any ideas of getting screws out that will need high torque to move but where the screw head is damamed?
