For the past year, I haven't been driving my C43 a lot. It has been over one year since my last service and FSS said that my next scheduled service is in about 3000 mi. The last service was a B service. I called up my dealer and he said that I should service my car when indicated by FSS. But I've heard reports saying that cars should be serviced (or at least an oil change) at least once in a year. What should I do?

You should probably get the oil changed at least twice a year, not just once. Certainly you should get it done by now regardless of what the FSS says. That system seems to be designed for people who use the car on a regular basis, not those that put the car away for months without driving it. Too nice of a car not to do the maintenance.
