rim question
what is the best rim for performance but still with some style? 18 inch.. my chrome rims are wayy to heavy to rip, i mean it still halls *** but breaking is gay and so is taking off , its sad, are 18inch amg monoblocks good?

90% of AMG wheels are cast and 25lbs +. They have a couple multi piece wheels but they are heavy as well. It would be wise to buy the lightest wheel possible with respect towards style and construction
I would look into a slim design forged wheel, Iforged, HRE, etc....
or.
I would look into some performance type wheels like BBS, SSR, etc...
I've looked for a light weight wheel for the past 4 months or so. Still not certain on any.....

bbs eh? word, we can get those at our shop at cost, never Considered them... word, i want the sl 55 amg rims u know? id like to see those on there dumped.. the 20 or 22 spke rims u know? staggered

In all actuality, you want to buy a lighter tire. My calculations showed that 1 lb lighter tire will have the same effect as around 3 lb of rim weight more or less ( simplifying it, as every rim is different depending on the rim's spoke configuration and where the rim carries its weight).
I'll give you a link if you're into the math of it.
I'll back NitrogenBalance up. 18" AMG monoblocks are something like between 27 and 30 lbs depending on width. I weighed my 17" AMG fronts (the narrow 7.5" wide ones) and I think it was like 26 or 26.5 lbs!

if you get BBS at cost, I would heavily consider the LMs. Or SSR Comps like speedybenz's. Those would be light wheels. Also as Steve(C55m8o) stated, getting lighter tires would help too. His OZ rims are pretty nice, and fairly light
