Question creepy lurch @ stop

i am wondering if anyone has experienced this problem, occasionally at a stop the car will rough idle like it wants to pull or stall. shifting to neutral resolves the hedging.no light comes on. car has ~33k miles and has had harmonic balancer recall. i did a search and found advice for motor/ trans mounts, maf, cps, as well as various sensors among other things. any ideas?

I've had a similar symptom myself. No idea what it is, but the first time I checked my brake foot because it felt like the car wanted to go. The brake was on firmly though. I've felt it regularly and just got used to it. It feels like there is a second where the car wants to go or someone has very lightly tapped it in the rear. It doesn't actually roll forward, so it isn't unsafe - it's just an odd feeling.

hey, hy-rail.

i had a very similar problem at 60k miles. my car would feel like it was gonna stall when i stopped at red lights. took it to the dealer, and they said it was transmission bushings (?). problem fixed.

i can check my service records at home tonight and repost the exact issue.

ok, here's what my work invoice says:

"code is 116 transmission shifter link missing bushing. installed new shifter bushing and clip. found engine air filter out of place. installed in proper position."

dont know why my filter was out of place, but i have starmark warranty, so it's all the same to me.

hope this helps.
