maybe off topic.
I discovered by accident that most aresol glass cleaners will actually remove the fake CF on the pilars, leaving them black. It takes a lot of elbow grease and time, but I was happy because I never liked the fake CF.

Out Of Control!!
theyre is an actual CF weave vinyl, not the fake CF vinyl that used to exist... that gets cut and applied, if someone has a template for the pillars, I have a friend who can make em, and possibly sell them not too expensive

Whats up Pete!! Getting back to you about the PM over at amgpower very soon. Busy end of week at work. If you've got CF work available LMK. I'll drive down and we can get a template of my B pillar covers. Then you can finally see the S/C setup so you can get one for your ML55
.Mine are worn to black also. Real CF might look very nice on w/ the silver.

Hmmm.. The window cleaner and simple green are taking a bit too much elbow grease, and leaving inconsistant results. IE, not removing everything.
Anyone have any ideas for a better product to remove all of the fake CF safely?

Try using a buffer with some polishing compound. That may work.
