Got my manifold replaced today. (one side) Had heard a sort of clickingish noise from under engine area at start up and while driving. Tech rode with me and verified complaint. Thought it was exhaust leak and was pretty much on the money. There is a tube piece in the manifold that is welded on, apparently mine broke loose and was making all the noise. New manifold and gaskets were replaced. Car runs great.

Anybody else have this problem or suspect it. Not something i've ever heard of happening.

probrably jus needed to be tightend, i've never seen one crack.

What was it like taking the manifold off?? Time, complexity, etc...

I've looked at mine before trying to visualize removing them and I got an anxiety attack.

I personally didn't remove it. Car is still under warranty. Tech told me he had to unbolt entire exhaust, unbolt angine mounts and move it slightly up. I didn't watch the entire process but I would say it took him about 2 1/2 hours.
