Question about rims for my C43

Hi guys, I am looking to buy some tires and rims on the internet and don't know if they wiil fit my car. They came of a Porsche 930 turbo. The front rims are exactly the same size 225/45/17 but the rear ones are 285/40/17 instead of 245/40/17.

My questions are: 1): Is the screw pattern of the Porsche rims the same like Mercedes, and 2): Are the rear tires too wide for my car (are they going to rub) ?

Thanks!

1) No...5x112 for MB, I think its something like 5x110 for Porsche

2) what is the width of the rear wheels? 285 mm is a LOT of rubber to fit inside the rear fenders. Depending on the wheel width you could go with narrower tires, but I'm guessing that they are at least 11 inches wide (since 285 mm is just north of 11 inches). No way will these fit in stock form

Don't let this discourage you....adapter plates or actual modifications to the wheels can make them fit. Fenders can be pulled, or even reformed w/ sheet metal. What wheels are they? I have always wanted to put some Ruf wheels on my C43....

Hi FLYNAVY, thank you for the information! Here is the auction for the wheels, I am not very familiar in doing any kind mods on the car, I am just looking for something that will fit directly. I need new tires, and as I went through that auction (killer price for both wheels and rims) I thought that I might upgrade but ohhh well, I will just buy new tires :-) Thanks again.

yeah, unless you want to drop some serious $$$ into fender and wheel modifications (convert from 5x114 to 5x112 pattern) those are not the wheels for you.
