trans uppgrade on c43
on my c43 amg i'd liked to get the new tranny software,so the tranny will last longer, when i asked the stealership about this they had no clue about this, so what can i do about this? I guess that the Swedes don't know a jack **** about these cars. The stealership bought the entire westcoust agency for Mercedes and that scares the **** out of me because of their incompetence about mercedes cars.
I guess there is no tranny uppgrade in europe only for the US market

There is no "tranmny upgrade software" from Mercedes Benz.This topic was brought up at AMGFest 06' with Noah ( tranny specialist from MB ) and he said that the only "upgrade" is when you take it to a tuner - Kleeeman, Renntech etc. and they upload their software to change the shift points.

The MB dealer will "reflash" the computer-it "resets" it to the factory specs.

THE transmission on the C43 AMG 1998 - 1999 is it exactly the same as on the E55 cars 1998 - 1999 meaning E55 owners is also going to suffer the tranny sickness when it ****s up and have to buy a new one or having to upgrade it with new parts? do they have to worry about this dizize on 722,6 trannys to? Do S-class 1998 - 1999 tranny have this sickness too>? many cars (c43) on (MOBILE.DE) who passsed 100,000km.- 200,000km have a rebuild or new tranny when i read the adds. my car is only 75,000km do i expect the tranny to fail on me=? i did change the tranny oil, stuupid mercedes making bad transmissions

try RP, it may do wonders on yours. It really helped on my old school W140 S320 transmission, shifts were lightening quick and car shifted silky smooth and even reversed the signs of aging. hope that helps.

WHAT ABOUT MY PREVIOUS question is the e55 trans the same as c43 transmission do they suffer the same problems=?

Hey buddy it 's good to know if the e55 trans messes up 2, if they suffer the same symptoms, when the day comes when i have to get a another tranny then i might buy a e55 tranny if it's better than the c43 tranny

hey guys,
I am doing Royal purple on my E55 within the next two weeks. it should be interesting to see the results. I can't wait to drive the badboy. I am also going to pour a bottle of trans tune in it just before i change oil to clean out any gunk that many have built up in the system. I will reveal my results hopefully before spring break. thanks
