Can't answer your question, but would you mind telling about the tranny failure. Miles, service history on trans, etc...

if you have a mechanic, i can post a number for you to call...they sell rebuilt transmissions for mb

There used to be a shop foreman at the El Dorado Hills MB dealer that was the tranny expert and once told me that he thought they were easy to build and that there were lots of tricks that could be done to improve durability and shift speed.

But he also had a temper and was let go. I can't remember his name, I will try to find him.
