I know I made a lot of enemies in this forum about mods and STAR badge, but man does that star badge look good. The feeling of seeint it while driving the vehicle is another reminder of driving a MERCEDES. I love it.
Carbon also looks awesome on black C43...... My side pillars are carbon, and they are fading, I am considering the hood (if i can afford it) and side pillars.....
Looks beautiful Jared!
I am pretty sure it must be hard to sell a tank like that!

on several threads and I don't recall anyone answering your question
about the transmission survey you're doing. It's getting to be more annoying.
Why don't you create your own thread asking this question?
Perhaps you'll get a more direct answer.

Nice hood. But I am sure annoyed that the guys who buy these parts never, ever, ever, never have the weight of the stock piece or the weight of the new carbon piece. Do you by any chance know the weight of the stock hood and the weight of the CF hood?
If you just tell me its lighter I will shoot myself!!!

looks nice. why dont they make one for a w209?? Someone tried to pluck the flat emblem on my hood. they made a small dent on my hood and I have been trying to find a CF hood for the past month but no luck. Cant really see the dent unless I point it out. I am just pissed about it.

Yeah, it's been on the car for a few weeks now. I'm very picky and it's not perfect so I've been messing with it alot. You guys may have gotten it to fit Jareds car but all cars are a tiny bit different when it comes to bolting up doors, hoods, etc..even though they are the same model. I knew it was gonna need a little attention though.
I had the underside sprayed with a coating that is temp proof and a flexable textured type coating. It looks like that rhinoliner that they spray on trucks. Its flat black and the underside looks much more uniform and OEM than the rough fiberglass/CF work. It is supposed to help with strengthening and and dampening fibrations also. I plan on waxing the car and finishing the hood work this weekend so I hope to get some pics up. Then the car goes nighty night for winter...and yes it will be painted in the spring. I'm defenitly going to leave a section of CF exposed and not paint the whole thing.
I'll try and weight the stocker this weekend. Its not nearly as heavy as we think though I'd say 40-50lbs if the CF is 19lbs.
