well when i replaced mine car was running weird idle was messed up then i let it run for a couple minutes and went for a drive, car runs great now idles beutiful and shifts good, but the cel is still on so its either got another code or i just need to get it cleared.

Generally, the CEL stays on for a set amount of time after the issue has been resolved unless it is reset. The code itself will remain in the system for 50 miles, regardless of whether the light is on or not.

that's corrected, you have to relearn all the adaptation values, then clear the fault codes.
