what's the diffrence between c43 trans and e55 trans

do they share the same trans? the parts number is diffrent?
do e55 owners have the same failures with their trans as the c43 owners?

can a e55 trans be connected to c43 engine if this trans is better and stronger? this concerns 98 and 99

They may work, but they are not the same part numbers.

The E55 trannsmission is more stout.

It will bolt up and wrk no problems! The part #'s maybe different but it will still bolt up and wrk. The only mod will be the shifter module.

the issue with ours is a more aggressive shifting module (or so i've read) that doesn't quite work right.

This may be primarily confined to the 98 and early 99s as well

Probably.....it's the needle bearings that are the weak spot.
