yeah i know i had to replace the head gaskets on both my c280's (m104) with the upgraded gaskets, at which point the motors were very reliable. let me tell you though the 3 ignition coils like to go out around 120k miles. one will go, then the next.... and then the third, so just replace all of them when the first one goes out. youll be able to tell that the ignition coils are goin bad because the motor will start misfiring and then in turn shut off 2 cylinders, making the motor run very rough... you can restart those cylinders by recycling your ignition system. its harmless just keep your eye on those ignition coils.

i know. bmw is doing a great job milkin hp from n/a motors. they keep peggin the 100hp/liter mark. any motor tuned that well is going to run like a dream im sure. ive yet to see/ride in one but i expect it wont be too long there are alot of nice cars around my area, i actually saw a bugatti veyron once. atlanta is a strange place with many nice cars concentrated into select areas
