I cannot speak for the Volvo but I can tell you that these calipers are many lbs lighter than the stock AMG callipers on my C43. I think these would work pretty well if a mount has to be fabricated. They seem to work well for the STi,Evo,and heavier SRT8. Not to mention that my car is much lighter than a Volvo at 3362 lbs. That's pretty much = to the STi and Evo.

This is how they were able to fit the Mustang Cobra/Corvette Zo4 front callipers and Eradispeed 13.5" 2 piece rotors (Actually Baer brake kit) in front of my Eagle Talon. Special brackets were made, and for these being "fixed" rotors and very light PBR rotors at that, they work very well after repeated hard stops.
That's why I think I'll lend these callipers to the AMG and see what happens, intead of dissassembling the Baer brake kit off the Talon and using these Brembos to replace them.
I only need to worry about whether the stock AMG 18" monos I have will allow me to use the Brembos for now.

i don't remember my wagon being that much heavier than 3300, afterall, the sedan version weighed in at ~3200
anyway, have u thought about upgrade the master cylinder? rotors and calipers only do so much.. more fluid/force exerted from the master cylinder would work really well. (sorry to jack the thread)

Speedy Benz races his C43/55 on the track with upgraded callipers and never mentions anything about chging the master cylider. The stck C43 MC should be good to go.

nobody who actually owns a decent stereo system would ever use the work "tight" to describe it

So heres what I gather and think could be possible;
Swap the seats out https://mbworld.org/forums/c36-amg-c...seats-c36.html should save close to 100lbs
Swap out stock rotors 21lbs each stock and 5lbs ea after swap, saves 30lbs
Upgraded exhaust and cats, saves around 50lbs
Swap the stock hood for a 19lbs CF, save an est 70lbs
New battery saves 20lbs
Remove spare tire and replace with can of fix O flat, saves 45lbs
Remove CD changer and replace with ipod, saves 5lbs
Light weight wheels can save you around 40lbs
So around 350lbs reduced, give or take!!! To give you an idea what that much wight can do to you can, have two 175lbs friends get in the car with you and see how much slower and awful your car feels in a str8 line and around corners! I think it could really make big difference in the performance and feel of the car.
Our cars weigh 3380lbs w/o a driver, so this puts our cars almost under 3000lbs.
Reducing 350lbs also = to:
adding 35hp
or
Shaving .35 seconds of your 1/4 mile time.

Now that your talking about weight reductions.
no-one thought about slim Jim?
Slimmin' the drivers guts?
To many hot dogs and burgars in your guts slows your car down, to much of a dead weight to carry!
Perfect ideal person is the size of a jockey which only eat NASA dehydrated powder food and drinks water.
Now thats your perfect driver, light n short person.

Do you have the right answer? Have you put a hood on a scale? Because no one else has either and that's as close to accurate I've found. If you have two people and a scale and a w202 then go weigh it, if not, then take it for what it is, an estemate. Did you have a real point or are you just trying to blow wholes in the thread for no reason?
