C36 AMG Questions
Hi
im new here , ive been looking at C36 AMG's lately i cant believe how cheap they are so am very tempted but have a few questions
is the C36 limited and if so how do you go about umlimiting it ?
are 18" monoblocks aval in replicas or would i have to buy the real MB wheels
what problems should i look out for when viewing a car , mechanical and body ?
Whats the lowest i can lower the car and what make of suspension is best to go for ?
Thanks

well....
as ffor limited i'm not sure what you mean, if you looking into a 97 model they come with a 5sp with od and the lower years have the 4sp..and if you they only made a limited amount of all years only i think 237 came to USA for the 97 model. not sure about the rest. as for rims i don't think they have replica monos and i'd get the real ones they are pretty cheap and common right now.
as for lowering i put H&R's on mine with about a 1.5 inch drop. cars rides great. as for quality, they are amazing not really anything to complain about. just make sure u get one that has been respected throughout it's life!

ah!
well you know i think they are, to get that off you must get the ECU reprogrammed. then it will top idk maybe 165mph...i was driving at 80 wit my girl on interstate 92 the other night, it was about 2AM and the road was empty i punched it, the next moment looking back at the speedo i was doin 145 and climbing i got jittery and let off the gas. we were going FAST lol they are very fast cars! but the 43's would have us after 100 MPH they are quicker then

'98 C43 AMG. Obsidian Blk w/2 tone slvr/blk interior
"chipping" aka reprogramming the ECU is great, you get more power, slightly better gas mileage (provided you stay easy on the throttle) and you dispose of that pesky 155mph gov. however, i wouldnt recommend going more than 110 unless you have GOOD rubber (good quality Z tires with plenty of tread and proper psi) on your wheels and make sure everything is secure and working properly...
get a '97 they have the 5spd auto PLUS they have a little more hp
