C43 for sale
over the course of the year i've come under the ether so to speak about vintage triumphs. i just bought a trackmaster race bike for my next project and am actively looking for other bikes and parts.
the c43 has lost it's place in my heart. i've enjoyed it for 3 years and now it's time to sell. i'm going to buy a truck, badly needed for transport of bikes and parts. i'm totally involved with these vintage trumpets and the c43 basically just sits. the dealers i've visited quoted $6900 trade in. i'm not going to let them have it @ that price.
i'll sell to any of you on the board for the best offer over $6900. don't have time for pic's right now. will post shortly.
here's a description. '98 w/165,000 on the clock. white over 2 tone blk&silver. records since i.ve owned it. new avon tech m500 w/3000 mi on them.
tranny has been serviced twice since i've owned it, most recently on8/03/07. motor mounts, lower control arm bushings, flex discs, valve cover gaskets, brake flush, oil gally cover gasket, last year. ball joints in 1/08.
comes with 2 sets of wheels. one with polished lips and the others are stock. care is nice and clean. a few chips and nicks, all body panels are original. interior is nice. some creasing in the seats from use but no holes, tears or worn spots. dash is crack free and everything works. all options. call me @831 588 9502 for more info. i live in santa cruz, ca. your welcome to visit for inspection and test drive.
Good luck with the sale and I hope you get some good offers. $6900.00 is not worth selling it. Hell, if I were in the market I would buy yours and then one of these with 22K on it.......

i'm probably several years older then you so i've been in love with several cars over the years. now i buy cars for the fun factor and my love affair usually lasts about 3 years. i bought this car in 6/05 so she's history.
as i said in my initial post, i'm under the ether over vintage triumphs. don't know how long it will last but i'm goin' for it. probably won't be riding for too much longer so i'm spending some of my kid's inheiritance on these bikes. they'll get the bikes and anything else that's left.
the c43 has been one of the most enjoyable cars i've ever owned. i'll have fond memories. maybe when i can't ride bikes any longer i'l get a cl 55. they'll probably be very affordable. i saw one in san jose a couple of weeks ago for $27,500. '01 with a full brabus upgrade. this car cost about $165,000 just 7 years ago. in 5 years i ought to be able to pick one up for $10,000. thanks for the kind words.
