C43 AMG
help or advice

Hello Everyone,

I m new to this forum, and I m a proud owner of a 1999 Black C43 Amg with 40k miles on it. Theirs nothing without German engineering. Well I have an idea, Everyone knows about the stock car phone does not work in modern society heheh so I was wondering if i can make a mod to make it work. I was thinking of using the cable thats plugged into the phone to some how mod it to work with a bluetooth speaker an example like this ***http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?p...47&cat=1529*** If I m not mistaken the cable transfers the sound through one of the wires in the cable from the mic of the phone to radio which amplifies and one wire in the cable transfers sound from phone speaker to car speakers. Now does anyone know if thats how it works and if does is it possible to soldier the wires to the Motorola bluetooth headset to the cable after spliced. Does anyone have a wireing diagram ???

thank you
Mickey

ive been thinking the same thing. most of our cars come with the analog phone wired. there is a mic next to the rear view mirror, and there are cables in the armrest which im sure transmit audio data to the car speaker sys and receive audio data from the mic. now if someone could isolate which connectors do what, we could easily find a bluetooth module which has audio in/out, slap her right up, and enjoy handsfree bluetooth operation in a car which was wired for analog phones 10 years ago.

good luck to all of us.

this thing is what we need. has external mic input, and is designed to be wired into the car's stereo system.
