Exclamation I just had my part changed!

Hi dudes, long time no see.

I had my c43 serviced recently.
The mechanic changed the-
steering damper,
power steering oil,
the sensor for crankshaft and
the electronic kit that is outside the transmission, making it leak ATF oil inside the cabin drenching the ECU, this part was busted on my car but luckily no oil in the cabin.

so my question is has many of you fellow c43 owners had this part for the transmission changed>?
Did you feel any improvments>? mine feels like lt's tighter on shifting gears and better response, the mech. drained the complete trans and converter adding 8,5 liters of MB oil for the trans.

Now my car feels tighter on steering, It made a vast improvment with the steering damper.
Also the part for the trans making the car shift better with higher pressure in the trans making it not leak anymore.

I recommend that you look these parts over on your cars, part for the trans is not easy to spot you need a mechanic to look it over for leaks, it never drips on the ground, making it a hidden leak that you are never awere of.
Cheers.

On a 722.6 transmission, the seal is part number 140-271-00-60, and has a retail price of about $2.

Hey buddy.
I paid cirka 400 dollars for this part, not including oil or seal+filter

, I don't know the exact name but it's a big square plastic part with 2 sensors that measures the incoming speed and outgoing speed from transmission.
If this part is broken transmission oil will travel inside the wires and go in under the carpets and drench your Ecu on passengers side, my mech. said this is a common problem on all MB up to 1999 model year, from 2000 and forward it's upgraded.
They also put in 8,5 litres of new trans oil.+ gasket, magnet, dipstick seal, filter.
Now the car feels very tight and like new when shifting gears.

this part must be changed to avoid future problems.

I've read about this part on a previous thread on MBWorld forum few years ago, sorry I don't know the exact word for this part.
I have printed out this thread I have it at home so I'll check for you guys and tell you tomorrow.
cheers.

hey buddy I just checked my papers this part is called
Electrical connector
and it's mounted on right front side of the trans.
this is a common problem that not many mb owners are aware of, this problem is on every mb type up to 99 years model.
when this part is disconnected and it leaks oil then you're toast, time for a new part. mine just dripped oil so it wasn't catastrophic coz I didn't have any oil inside the passenger floor flooding the ecu.
btw it takes time before it reaches the floor it goes by pressure from the trans.
I hope I could help you guys with this by explaining better.
cheers
