c43 VS E55(w210) on a track
so I was bored the other night and wanted to fire up one of my first racing games which features both, the c43 and the e55
I did the 1\4 mile run on both cars, managed to get 13.9xx with a c43 and a very low 13 with the e55
I took them both around the track for like 10 laps each, I was surprised that I was able to beat E55's time in the c43, it was a lil slower but t handled better
I know this is a racing game but does it sound right?
how does c43 compare to the e55 on a track? does its lighter body make up that 40hp gap?

of course its GT2! i loved the w208 clk55 in GT3.
i have the GT5 prologue for the PS3 but the full game hasnt come out yet... and the only merc in the prologue is the sl55... not the best car for racing

The E55 is about 0.5 - 0.7sec faster in the 1/4 mile (as our C43s w/E55 engines are about 13.3, 13.4). If that C36 was close to the CLK55, either the CLK driver got a ****-poor start, or he was backing off the throttle afraid of WOT high RPMs, or something like that. [These cars will go WOT -all day!]
I have GT2 too, and it's certainly not as accurate as a real simulation program such as CarTest2000 which I use the customizing of extensively.
PJmak, on a road course your single worst enemy is weight, which is probably behind why it simulated well while having a lower power/weight.
now I ask... Gt...TWO?!

yea idk if the C36 was modded are wat, bt i do know those CLK55 are heavy, even with those big V8's when i had my E420 i test drove a 2001 CLK55, and wasn't really impressed with the accel, from wat you are sayin maybe something was wrong with the one i test drove? too me the E420 had better accel. but yea it was a pretty good race to me, the clk sounded like it was hittin the the redline on each gear too. but yea....i saw it in concord when i was up there for a while... prob had intake and exhaust work, maybe an ECU tune as well. and c'mon give the C36s some credit, they are not fast, bt they def. are not slow.
