722.5 5-speed conversion
Just to head off the question. It is not plug and play. I just found out that when the factory tcu is unplugged the rest of engine management does not care to much. I think this will be able to retrofitted to any 722.6 car with old style shifter and maybe the new shifter in the future.
Well I am getting really close to having this be 100%. I have dialed in most of the shift points and am not having any major problems. I just talked to PCS and when time is permitting they are going to get the speed sensors set up. This will basically make the thing work flawlessly. Right now I am not having any problems but there is always the potential without gear recognition. With gear recognition it will operate with almost the same premise that Mercedes does as far as completing gear changes and limp modes.
I am using the small nag transmission with no power holding problems due to the shift firmness under load. And with a 3.27 rear end I run at 2200 rpm at 60 mph in 5th gear.

It could be me but I find your post hard to make out. Are you swapping trans A with trans B when the car originally ran trans A?
I swapped the 722.3 4 speed transmission for the 722.6 5 speed.
The tcu has complete control over all shift points and firmness and can operate with paddle shifters etc.. It basically gives full stand alone control of the 722.6.
I'm going to post a link to your other post with the whipple kit and pictures. There are a few who lurk in this forum that may find it pretty interesting.
What car model did you use the 722.6 from ?
Are you using the 722.6 original TCU or did you dó something Else and if, what did you use ?
I am looping to do the same conversion to my w124 300E-24 (M104.980) engine. I already have the 5 speed 722.5 but This is the same tranny A's the 722.3 just with an elektronik contoled 5th gear.
So i World like to use the 722.6 to ADD padle shifters to it.
Did you get yours to work. ?
