Hood "spring' removal ?

who has removed the "spring" mechanism of their hood?

I see that there are some "shocks" down in there which i'm assuming provides the spring force. Can it be removed with minimal other work?

thanks

Yes, the shocks hold your hood up. These shocks can be removed, you need a needle nose plyers or a flat blade screw driver, as there are metal C type clips at the top/bottom, pop them out and the shock can be removed.
