Just to make sure before I question the validity of this sale, mb definetely never offered a locking diff for the 43 right? What on earth could that ever be used for on a rwd sport sedan.
Guess it is worth getting this investigated. Keep us posted please

With a little searching, found out the E420 & E430 special Edition between 99-2002 uses 3.27 diff. with a same TCU part# as uses in 2.82, it

may means nothing to do with a size of the Engine..!, it needs a knowledgeable person or company to match & reprogramme the

TCU.........!?!

After all these mix and match parts being installed into the diff, do you have any whining noises while driving?

What I have discovered after working on these cars is that Mercedes have tolerances built into their cars that are un-matched buy any domestic/jdm line.

A rear diff from a 1980's car housing/internals can work without question or problems in a 2003 diff. Provided that you replace bearings or transplant the originals to the unit you intend to work with.

The frankenstein one that I created was great in my C43 with the 55 N/a swap. It had no issues when it was subjected to the 55 S/c up until I actually punched it and she popped from all that torque. I disassembled it and installed it in my C230 not even questioning its integrity/reliability. Worked beautifully and the car felt so planted after that. Then I sold it to a forum member and I have not heard of any problems from him. His only issue was that his RPMs were too high because he was still using the 3.27 ratio.

To answer your question no it made no noise.

Sounds good to me. I put a LSD in my friends 211 E55 and that had noises either.

I'm about to start my differential swap on my car. I got a 210 E55 diff, tiptronic shifter from a 208 CLK 55, and a trans module from the same CLK. I'm going to start to piece together a harness and see if I can get the tiptronic to work. If I can get everything working properly then it'll be time for an LSD.

That’s a good project,, if you put 2.82, you well loose some tenth,, if you not care about this, it well be fine with you,,:-

do you have an EGS51 or EGS52, cause the early 98-99 & late 01-02 version are different........

Nice. Keep us updated on this. My tip update has been pushed back a bit due to my suspension troubles and having to go back up to Montreal for a month. What are you doing about the valve body?

As we know guys,, all tuner companies can modify the EGS52,, Did anyone know, if they can also change or chose the ratio and saved it to the

TCU memory.....!?!?

The 2001-2004 SLK32 got Exactly the same our "C43" diff., and a reprogrammable EGS52,, why we not put EGS52 from the SLK32, with a

Tip-tronic shifter, then recalibration it with the ECU......??!!

I went to the dealer today, i asked "3" professional supervisors(which working almost 16 years in the dealer),, why the W210 E430 special Edition

has 3.27 diff. with EGS51(which we all know CAN’T BE PROGRAMMABLE),, and how they did a calibration with an ME2.0...!!!,,

1) First one: sorry i need to go to see a new cars arrived now......

2) Second one: my wife messaged me about some problem with my sun in school.....

3) Third one: ahhhh you have a strange ques., look, i need to go to GERMANY to see a football match between "AUDI racing team VS Human rise

Authorization",, if Audi wins, i well go to work in Nissan dealer, if Human wins, i well come back & kill my self in front of your HOME........!!!!!

Does it actually help?? I'd imagine you'd need to cool the diff fluid. Not really the metal housing

eclectic assortment of cars
There's some discussion about the diff cooler on the 203 AMG forums. I believe the cooler Zayed used is the stock one off the C55. Some C32 guys had brackets fabbed up to fit the cooler to their cars too.

I love the fact that its on my car, but I do miss being able to use the diff as a jacking point! As an aside, my stock diff on my S2000 has fins on it too, not as many as the add on heat seak on the C55, but it has them.

Nice work zayed.

That should provide some heat sink for the diff.

Aluminum would be best, but steel will work.

All can be fit with some mods.,,

but if you want direct bolt-on, Slk32 is the correct one..

LOL. I like your answer.

In the case of something else... TCU programmed with SD dev or mailed out?

No need to program the TCU, even if you go with an LSD..!
