ran my friends car yesterday with my c43

was on the freeway

I wasnt looking at the speedo but I think we took of at around 70 mph and went up to probably 110 or 120


was dead even until I slowly started pulling away towards the end, I was surprised


Im sure it would have been a different story if we ran from maybe 30 mph

 

In an old thread peeps were saying, the 6 is just as fast as the 8..so why waste money when u can get the same performance for less.

This is old news. I ran a stock c43 with my c36 he just edged me 0-80. Very disappointing for a 4.3 v8 302hp. Now the 55 motor is a wake up call.

 

Mmm....don't compare a c36 to a c43...
c36 is a sold out c280 and retuned by amg after...
wich c43 was built from scratch by amg.

And still, we don't care who's second in life, c43 will always finish first vs a c36

 

The c36 is built completely by amg. 3.6L vs the c280 2.8L only a tune? The c43 is the same size as the clk430,e430 but tuned for extra hp. Still disappointing for a 4.3L The 55 motor 5.4L is a V8. Like night and day vs the 4.3L. Not arguing which engine is superior

 

NO, the C36 motor is more "AMG" than the 4.3 engine will ever be.

 

I have also raced a c36 and it was dead even, the 36 was even pulling at times. C43 will win in the end but its really really close

 

No worries - they put the strongest engines in the black ones.

coming from a c36 owner, of course

 

and for my taste, I like more 202 interior of c43...
seats are better.
cluster looks better
brakes are better
and v8 sound is priceless.

but I still like c36..not trying to hate, just don't compare orange and apples.

 

c43 is a sold out 430 engine..... Its actually less tuned than the 36

 

ok ok fellas me and Pj were all talkin bout this yesterday at the meet, now, u must understand, they both cant be compared, personally i think they rushed the C43 and could've spent a bit more time on it, they rounded out the body kit to give it an "evolved" look, you know, newer, the C36 is supposed to look like those W201 evos and old school AMG's guys, that's why the C36 has the more square look that i personally love, the front bumper is SICK, and it's got some sexy fog lights, the two tone wouln't look good in the C36 cuz it's a more old school AMG. they really did more the 3.6 then juss bore it, it has different internals as well, as more aggressive cams, the C36 engine wasn't build from ground up, and neither was the C43, both were an original 430 and 280 engines, and AMG took them and did what they had to do to them. and now they are AMG's. PLUS FELLAS LETS NOT ARGUE, THEY ARE REALLY EVEN, PLUS, WERE ALL BROTHERS HERE, let's take our benzs our against other makes, like bmw and lexus or audi etc...nt against our allies. haha be nice!
