Has your speedometer been acting erratically? A speed sensor could cause miss shifts in your transmission, other symptoms of it could be your speedometer moving around wildly, or no movement at all.

On my car, the speed sensor sits on a $200 plate(part #1402700861). The valve body is a completely different part (part #1402700406) and costs about $1K. But I'm not a transmission guy, and your transmission could be a lot different than I thought it was, so I'd have to defer to your mechanic.

GOOD NEWS!!! the MBZ shop called me and asked me if i was the first owner of the car..i told them im the second coz when they did dropped the pan and other parts needed to get to the VALVE BODY they found out that the TRANSMISSION is still fresh and new even the torque converter is brand spankin new..but the only problem he said is the valve body and sensors that they probably didnt replaced when they did they tranny, so they changed it now...the guy said under my car is all fresh and the previous owner took real good care of thye car...no leaks or what so ever...he said just keep up with the basic maitenance and my car will still run for the next 100k miles...thanks for all you guys advice, inputs and help, i really do appreciate it!!!

also the price on the conductor plate has come down a lot too, around $100 now. I've also had pretty good luck cleaning the fluid out of the trans modules when they get filled, doesn't always work but will in a most cases.

Yes sir it is. He has had all of this replaced and we have talked a lot about. So its all good. I am actually pretty happy knowing this was all solved before I got anywhere near it! So looks like I should be great for the next 100k!
