mine is at low 80s when runin and it goes up to high 90s when in stop n go traffic or sit at the light for a bit

I was told this is normal but I refuse to believe it, at least the high 90s part

The M113 has an 87C thermostat, so 80 to 90C is normal. One question, why do you want the engine to run cooler? OK, two questions - have you checked the oil temps, if so, what are they? 3 and I'm out.

I asked my merc. tech guy who works on my car he's a certified MB tech.
He quit his job at the staelership and now works at his friends shop, every guy who owns a benz in my city leaves their car to this garage for cheaper prices and better service.
So do I, no more stealership.
I asked about the coolant change he told me that I don't have to change until the car reaches 250 000 km.
He told me that the every 3 year replacement is BS. to rip us owners off.
When the car reaches 250 000km. the whole coolant jar needs to be change, inside of it there is somekind of a cemichal soap or something (the exact term of what it was I don't know what's it called) this soap will overtime detoriate and will get mixed up with the coolant fluid.
It will last up to 250 000km. he told me.
Does any of you who works on benz cars know about this>?
The manual says change every 3 year.

i have had my C43 for over 1 a year now and i have never passed 90C.... and i live in Miami with 90+ temps most of the time.. it hits 85C and never moves from there unless... its the winter time or i am on the highway... but stomped it never passes 87C if it does i would get your coolant system checked especially if it is passing 90C
