My two cents...

I went with stock and had them cryo treated - I find the stock rotors more than up to the task.

Iirc the C230k sport 4dr was only until 2005. Then it moved to an NA motor with less torque and was for some reason not as fast or fuel efficient.

Also if you go the OEM way there is no need to rebuild the front at all ,

I believe our brakes came off of the E60 not the E55...

No... the C43 brakes used in the C43 are the same in E55 (W210), CLK55 (W208) and SLK32 (R170).

I stand corrected... I could of sworn I read somewhere that our brakes were from the E60 but after further research you are correct, they are the same as the E55.

i am REALLY confused on these zimmerman rotors off the autohaus site...are they the same oem rotors on the c43 with the same stopping power? or are they brake rotos for the 280 sport. why are they so cheap?

are there any other mods needed for these rotors to fit?

also...the oem rotors off the autohaus site...are they OEM AMG?

As far as I know, there is no other disc avaiable except the original one."

Those are so cheap because they are the WRONG ROTOR for the C43/E55. The C43 rotor is a 2-piece lightweight rotor. The link above to Autohaus is for a different rotor on a different model with similar dimensions, but it is a heavy 1-piece design. If you don't mind downgrading your rotors, some people say they will work ok.

Photo attached below of the CORRECT AMG rotor for C43/E55. Note the center hub is aluminum and "pinned" to the rotor ring. This reduces total weight by approx 15% and also helps eliminate rotor warping under severe use (i.e., on the racetrack). Oh, and they are directional, with internal cooling vanes. The cheapo/smaller/wrong rotors are non-directional.

Part numbers for C43/E55 rotors are 210-421-18-12 (left) and 210-421-19-12 (right). The OE Genuine Mercedes are available from parts.com for $204 plus S&H, or you can get aftermarket Zimmerman for a bit more with free shipping at some vendors.

OE rotors are $284 list price. Parts.com sells at the lowest price you'll find for OE but with shipping, the Zimmerman are still cheaper. You may be able to find the Zimmermans for more like $210/ea delivered in the USA, which will be less than the OE.

You're not going to get better than OEM rotors for your c43. that's what I put on my c43, not cheap, but very worth it when you start driving it.

I bought OEM rotors off of AutohausAZ, I believe I paid $250

Just checked, AutohausAZ has OEM rotors for $232 with free shipping. They have the zimmerman for $62

Don't play and fool around with safety items like brakes. Your life and others may depend on the quality of the parts you install, so get OEM products or proved and certified substitutes. Just my 2cents...

Agreeeed,,

According to the damn price of the OE Rotors, many guys went to "04/06 W203 C230 sport/C320" Rotors,, they’re cheaper & did a good job, isn’t....??

ZAYED,,
