Bad bad news :( totaled maybe?????

About 2 hrs ago, I t-boned this vehicle crossing red light. Here are pictures. I am so upset, can't find words to express my feelings. LOVEd my C43!!!

Geico is the insurance company, my deductible is $1000, and not planning on working with them cause it was not my fault. Waiting for police to call me about the other party's insusrance info.

I will try to attach pictures, please feel free to tell me if it is really totaled, or fixable. I want to hang on to it, cause it was the best car I ever had.

sorry to read about your accident.
Looking at your pictures make me cringe but hopefully you are ok.

I would like to think your car is totalled bec. of the way the right wheel is positioned against the back of the wheel well. In addition, your whole engine
bay may have moved back thus the car's frame is badly bent out of shape.
But you can always get a new car that you'd like.

The idiot you t-boned looks like an elderly. Was he even paying attention
to the lights?

Glad your fine!!!!! The wheel being push back isnt that big of a deal. The lower control arm
is bent back. Its a tough call it could be either way, there not to much damage but depending on the insurane company..And why would your deductable matter if its the other guys fault?? He should be 100% liable.

But a question for you would you want the car back after that... maybe take the money and look for a clean used c43

wow dude that sucks

It looks so sad just sitting there in the middle of the road

Damage is fixable. We went to santa cruz and bough a c43 with moved frame. Drove it back to sacramento and a few monts later it was fixed

this is the before damage

btw go to the nearby stores or buildings, they might have camera setups, who knows. My friend did this and they happened to have a camera recording the surrounding. He pretty much had the same type of accident happen to him

his car looks like if it was in accidents before so it's probably normal to that guy, don't worry you'll get your money. It not your fault he ran the red.

And wow the 202 stood up well against that POS pontiac I mean the wheel came off! German cars FTW!

I was just mad, and shocked when left the firts message. I think of the worst scenario possible, what if the ashole does not have a insurance, then I have to pay the deductible.
Anyway, going to police station to grab the police report today. I will try to go for another amg, or bmw depending on what I can afford. Will keep you guys updated. Any ideas are welcome.
Take care guys

I would use the insurance money to fix those 3 teeth of yours...lol. Seriously, sorry to see what you went through, but in the end - it's just a car and replaceable and you should be thankful you're OK. Odds are you shouldn't have any more wrecks for a long time now!

To be honest it may be totaled. What is a 99 C43 worth now?
Glad you are okay.

That Grand Am is toast lol.

I never drove C32, so I can't make any comments, however we had this discussion years ago here......
People say C32 is very fast, but C43 felt more like Mercedes (solid, etc)
So I really do not know.

Can you guys tell me if the car is totaled or not.. People still did not call me yet.
I'd like to keep the car, (I wish adjuster thinks car need e new paint job

probably less reliable coz its supercharged and it has more electronics

sounds like a downgrade to me

Yes lets see. I have driven both, and niether of them seem like M3 carvers... anywho lets look at them from a spec stand point. Specs are both from motortrend.

C43 C32
0-60- 5.8 4.7
1/4- 14.4@98 13.2@107
Skidpad .86 .85
Slalom 67.1 67.3
0-60 112 117

Handling seems like a wash. But the power difference is substaintial. Then you have the easy modability factor of the C32. A huge plus. Unless you like staying slow. Neither car will go up in value anytime soon.

looks are subjective. Moot point. I think the C43 looks extremely dated while the C32 can get by. I prefer the sleeker looks of the C32

Now you are dealing in probabilities? I have a SRT-6 same drive train. Never a problem, owned sicne new. At the eurocharged event there was a C32 with nearly 80k on it that put down 320whp on a dyno dynamics(my CLK55 put down 263 same day) with just a pulley and tune. Pretty impressive.

Sounds like an upgrade to me.

1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
where i live (Lebanon) the car is far frm totaled, but here laboe is cheap, and to fix it back to new would be abt 2500usd max.

but over where u live, am sure things are diff.
i mean a h/g replacement sets me abt 500usd here for the 36amg. and the w124 m103 rebuild set me back like 1200usd only
