honestly bro, keep your stock muffler, just chop ur resonator, AMG didn't spend thousands on research and studies to give u a bad muffler, that muffler is AMG tuned and is the best muffler for that car! trust me i been down that path!

i see you have deleted the cat and went with strt pipes! i have the same setup, and it sounds gr8. below 4k rpm the car is as silent as any merc, there is just a hint of big boar beat in it. the moment you cross 4K and the cam is retarded, the sound just sharpens and sweetens all the way to the 6900 limiter.

its loud flat out but not loud enough to make ppl hate you.

but the other day i was in my friend's C63, and that car sounds evil. i just want it for that sound , i guess since you have a 43 it sounds close with no cats.
my friend has one with the cat removed, sounds gr8 on the muntain pass to his home.
and yes we are four friends with AMGs :P, my 36, a 43, and 2 brothers one with a clk 55amg and that stunning c63.

yes i did actually have a straight pipe, i had just recently put back on my C36 muffler, ( i missed my low-end torque) but this car def climbs at higher rpms with no cats lol

For some reason i thought u have a 43, so ur saying you lost low end with the strt pipes, or was that without the mufflers?. i got the car with no cat, what i did was remove 2 pipe resonators that were inplace of the cat.

realy depends on what gains you want, more high-end torque, or more low-end torque, with cats or without it wouldn't matter, i meant to say muffler in the last post, with the muffler the car seems smoother, and def climbes quicker, guess the inlines like the backpressure, plus, if you wanna gain a little more power on the higher rev powerband, no muffler is the way to go...
