Carlsson C56, yes so it says in mobile.de this ia a '95 C180 * umbau*
5.6 i.e a M119 5 liter with a 5.6 crank in it!!
Carlsson C56 Absolutes Einzelstück der Fa.Carlsson Autotechnik. Weltweit nur 1 stück gebaut. IAA Fahrzeug von 1995 auf Basis C180 .Absolute Vollausstattung. Motor,Getriebe,Achsen,Bremsen der Fa. Carlsson. 2 Farbige Vollederaust., incl. Dachhimmel,Hutablage,Armaturenbrett. Recaro Sitze. 3-tlg. Carlsson 3/6 in 8,5 und 10x18 . Fahrzeug ist aus 1. Hand und in einem super Zst. 5,6 ltr. V8 560Nm.
This was 2 years before the M113 4.3 5.0 5.5 was to be used.

Roger - amazing what you can do with a C180 
€23k does seem a bit steep for a 14 year old car, even if it is a rarity. I'd haggle hard - the demand for these sorts of things is limited to the real enthusiasts...
If there's paperwork to back up the conversion, all the better!

Beauty! Love the wheels as well. I don't see why anyone would sell that car, but I'm sure at that asking price it will go to a caring owner. Seems like a lot of unique w202's have been popping up lately.
