Check Engine Light...HELP!!!

My CEL comes on it stays on 2 or 3 days, goes off then does the same thing again. I noticed it goes off when I fill the tank. Does this happened to anyone else?

MAF possibly

Next time you get the CEL go to either a PepBoys or Autozone and have them plug in an OBD II (On-Board Diagnostic) scanning computer so they can retreive the codes - I purchased my own for about $100. If the codes are P0170 and P0173 you're more than likely going to have to purchase a MAF SEE LINK

Also make sure to look at your fuel tank pressure sender and the gas purge valve. Both of these items are sesitive to the fuel tank and the amount of gas there.

The code should be stored, so they should be able to read it whether the light is on or not.
