c43 and s55 in houston

Driving on Memorial Drive this afternoon in the rain, I passed an S55 and then a C43. For a minute we were lined up C43-E55-S55. Was it anybody here?

Talking What an awesome sight...

Something like this happens less frequently than planets being in alignment.

Wow, in the SF Bay Area one can run into 3-4 AMG cars on the road at once. Not too uncommon. The AMG cars are so common, I am still really surprised when someone asks me, "What's AMG?" I usually just answer, "Oh that guy that did the 'B!tch Betta Have My Money' song." Most people just accept that answer.

Here in Houston I'll see another E55 maybe every 6 weeks, an S55 maybe once a month (are there more S55s than E55s?), a C-class AMG, almost never.

I always tell people I just own a C-Class. I won't even both mentioning the AMG part. Bad news, it's on the trunk, rims, toor sill, and the hood ornament. Oh well....?

I don't see many AMG's here. Occasionally an E55, and there's a C36 down my street. Nothing since. Lots of nice cars he though, just non-amg.

I was at Rancho center in Los Altos last weekend (richy part of town..) and there was a S600 parked next to an S55, then an SL55 came driving through the parking lot... dayam! I must be in Los Altos...

Other recent sightings:
F50 (!) pulling off 280 fwy
CLK "55" cab, 55 is in quotes because it only had one exhaust... maybe cab's are different, but don't CLK55's have dualies?
Last and certainly least - a slammed LS400...poor thing...

most common posers I see is E320's, E420's and E430's with AMG Mono's and they put AMG badge on trunk for the quick E55 look (most take off the E320 etc left part and just leave AMG badge, can easily tell it's not amg though)

Here in my part of Jax we have a silver CLK55, a few C32s, and a few ML55s- I even passed another black C43 in a residential neighborhood here, but I think it was a rebadger- we seem to have our share, just not too many

Jacksonville C43's

Hey weatherman, I hope you weren't talking about me. I thought I was one of only 2 black C43s in Jacksonville. Its funny about a month ago I saw another one driving through my neighborhood. Could that have been you? St. Johns CC if it rings a bell. By the way mine IS real not a rebadge.

That may have been me- we've been house shopping recently and have been in that area. Glad to know we don't have a 'rebadger' on the loose. If there really are 3 black C43s in the area, we'll have to get a picture to post here...

Post AMG Posers!

In response to people tagging their cars with AMG that are not

real AMG cars, I think it's alright as long as they don't tag their

cars with C43, E55, or S55 etc. If a certain Mercedes is using

parts from AMG, I think the owner is entitled to tag the car with

AMG if that person is using wheels, suspension, exhaust, and or

a body kit from AMG. The tag on the car should only

signify that the car is AMG equipped! As long as the person

doesn't mess with the engine size tag (C280, S500, E430 etc.) I

think it's alright! But if the person removes the engine-class

tag, that is the car owner's disgression. Understatement is the

performance philosophy of Mercedes-Benz.

I'm in Dublin, Ohio, the only C43 I've seen was a black 98 in my dealers showroom about a year ago, never have seen one on the street. There are a few E55's and ML55's around my area.
