eclectic assortment of cars
I visited Trollhattan once, did my pilgrimage to the Saab Museum! I love Sweden, cool place. Stayed for a few days in Gothenburg ("You-Tah-Boy"!) too.

I sold the Saab recently though...the new owner is making it into even more of a beast. I made a deal with him - if he ever sells it, I will get the first chance to buy it back!

Sold it to buy the AMG!

Tjena mannen!
You Swedish by blood?

I've lived in this crummy little town way to long!
Boring!
Yeah, Göteborg is way better!
In fact best town in Sweden!
It's a 1hr drive from my town.

Those SAAB Turbo's from the 80's were nice looking!
But suffers from weak transmissions!
An overpowered engine with an amateur transmission!
There are many hard core drivers tuning the turbo pressure n these cars!
But the transmission breaks.
It's a´weak construction.
But they are helluva fast cars, still today!
Those Aero's were real Autobahn killers, way faster than many Benzes in the 80's!

But SAAB is SAAB with a lot of problems!
It sinks like a ship this company, The new owners will have a lot to do to plug alll the ratholes!
I bet within a few years bigger problems are ahead!

Nah, not I'm Swedish. My parents came to Canada from Hong Kong in the '70s, I was born and raised in Canada!

I still have four spare 99/900 transmissions in my garage! The one in my old car was specially built by 'The Man' in Sweden who does such things, and was a 4-speed with reinforced covers and inner drivers. Lots of rally drivers in Sweden used the same box for their built cars. That was one thing that would probably not break on my old car. The new owner has since added a Quaife LSD. Once the snow melts, I'll drive the car again, should be fun! The car should make about 300hp or so, good fun.

I am not a Swede either!
Yeah, if you got a SAAB that is faster and torqier than standard, you need a better transmission!
I hate front wheel drive on cars!
Especially if they don't have any traction control for high powered cars!
SAAB Viggen was a disaster when it comes to plant the tourqe on tarmac!
Wheel spin and steering wheel that plays badly!

Question

I found some odd partsnumber for the 210 E55 application!
Some Goodridge lines are marked as # 34030 up to 2002 for 210 E55 AMG

and other boxes says:
# partsnumber for a E55 AMG (W210) Part No SME0820-4
Is this # ps number above matching the #34030 for MB C43 AMG 1999?
Both these #ps numbers must be bolt on on our C43's?

I found this webshop: http://www.buybrakes.com/goodridge/a...es%20Benz.html

There you can see the partsnumbers for several AMG's, using same parts number #34030
Even C32, C36,C43,C55,E55 and others shares same #ps number!
Then It's all clear!
This is the part for c43 even though it says for e55 on the box!
