Question Changing my stock radio!

I'm kicking out my stock MB AUDIO 30 tapedeck!
I am installing a MB AUDIO 10 cd player!

Can I just switch HU's?
And enter the new code for the new radio?
Will this stereo work after the installment or do I have to go to the stealership and getting robbed for re-coding the the new unit?

There are 2 different models!
# A 170 820 03 86= MF 2910 made in Japan= is this a Becker or Alpine?

" Does it play CD-R and CD-RW flawlessly?

" Is it the same with software upgrade Q4 Q5 etc.

# A 170 820 01 86 = MF 2199(W?) made in France = is this a Becker
or Alpine?
" Does it play CD-R and CD-RW?

" I have seen they have different software editions Q4 and Q5?
What does this mean in playback performance?

I wanna know if you guys know whih one is better?
Is Alpine radio better than Becker unit?

Any problems between both brands?

Does both play burned cd's?

If I find a used Radio unit from between years 2000 to 2003 e.g. 168 A-klasse, 210 E-klasse or the later ML jeeps will it fit my C43 AMG?

They must have the fibre optics options to work properly!

IF THERE IS NO RADIO CODE?
Can I go to the dealer and they help me out?

Pliz help me out guys!

In the United States, I think the code the dealer supplies is for the radio that was issued for that car's VIN. When MB USA supplied me with my radio code, they only wanted the VIN. They never saw the car, and didn't ask anything about the radio. When you get a used radio, you may wish to ensure you get the code from the seller.

hey buddy
thanks for the info.
The seller have the code!
so is it only plug/play and then just enter the code and voila it works?
or do I have to go to the stealership and they have to re-flash the cd-deck?

about their software editions Q17 is the latest?
what about these stuff?

I know some Audio 10 players never play burned cd's?
why did MB offer 2 types of this cd-deck?
and why 2 different manufacturers?
Becker or Alpine?
thanks

Question

Was the single cd-player MB AUDIO 10 ever offered with BOSE hifi sound system?

I know that MB AUDIO 30 tapedeck or the MB AUDIO 30 navigation was offered as an option!
And maybe the MB APS 50 navigation as well?

But regarding this single cd-player AUDIO 10 was it ever sold in the US with BOSE hifi, will it work with BOSE hifi?
It does suppport cd-changer in the trunk!

I have integrated telephone system in my MB AUDIO 30 tapedeck, but I never used it!
The AUDIO 10 cd-deck doesn't have the integrated telephone!

I will link a german sajt, there it states that AUDIO 10 does not work with BOSE hifi????

How can you tell by partsnumber if this cd-player reads burned cd's?
They both look the same both versions!

If this site comes up in german do translate the page

Scroll down you'll see that it's described as non working with BOSE hifi?
Strange!

I just spoke with dealership.
They say AUDIO 10 does not work with BOSE hifi in my C43!

So either a AUDIO 30 tapedeck or AUDIO 30 APS cd-deck works for me they said!

I have a used 2000 (D2B) MB AUDIO 30 APS cd-deck on offer from a friend with the code and manual.
Nothing else!

If I get a AUDIO 30 APS with cd-deck and throwing out my tapedeck I need to install the new wires for gps antenna!
I don't want to tear apart my car, so I was thinking to install parts from an 170 SLK 2000 model!
These SLK's don't have any antennas on the folding roof, they have another system?
So you guys master technicians whom are working with MB cars knows how to install the stuff and you know what parts I need to get!

Do you know the lose partsnumbers I need?

Is it only to install the antenna under the dashboard?
Do I need any speedsignal sensors installed?
Calibrating the system?
