1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG

Coolant Temperature Sensor location (C43)

I have a 99 C43...can anyone tell me where the coolant temperature sensor is located on the engine. I need to replace it.

It's located next to the thermostat housing on the left hand side. Make sure you have the radiator cap off, then remove the retaining clip from the sensor and it pulls straight out.

removal of the air pump will ease in access to the sensor.
