A new mod in progress! Upgrading my alarm

I am thinking of upgrding my factory alarm system.
I only have the towhook alarm, no cabin sensors!
So I found the instructions with parts numbers.

The alarm relay from my car uses the same parts number as the full set up factory alarm with inner cabin sensors.
Is it only to install the inner cabin sensors on B-pillar trim?
Install the wireloom to the relay box?
Go to stealership and reprogram the new set up?

Has anyone done this upgrade?

I appreciate if any of you guys whom got the full 2 system alarm set up, if you can snap a couple of pictures on your B-pillar cabin sensors!
Was this alarm set up offered in the US?
Here are the pics of the parts:

I have them in my car
Will get you a photo later tonight....
P.S. Just got my crystal fog lights. Look nice apart from the Made in Taiwan stamp but will approve only after installation and working.

hey bud.
take good close up shots of the sensors you have and the b-pillar trim cutouts!
Made in Taiwan on a C43 AMG?? Nahhhhhhhhhhhh!

does original factory fogs from HELLAS work with aftermarket installation xenon kit?
we have old skool lenses on our cars that are fogged so putting clear glass fogs or blinker indicators might luuk weird??
I dunno?

please take a snapshot of the center console buttons!
do you have the rear electric blind?

take a pic of your stereo set up!

do you have the garage door buttons on RVM?

So here goes with a first set of photos. Sorry but took the pictures in rather dark surroundings. Will try again during the weekend. Don't have much time till then to tinkle with the car.
Yes I have the rear blind. I prefer it up all the time, as it keeps out some sun heat and those behind can't see who just blasted by

Heh...half the front end of my car is now from Taiwan. Replacement fenders - C$100 each. Clear corner lights - US$30.

I installed aftermarket HID kit into my stock Hella fogs no problem. Take a look in my other thread for the details.

I have garage door opener buttons on my rearview mirror. But, I don't have the button for the tow truck, nor do I have power folding side mirrors. One day though!

Don't have the folding mirrors either but think that would be very nice. Would like to update these with the integrated blinkers also (fromW210 I believe). Less Dumbo style IMO

Another piece made in Taiwan!

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I checked - the local dealer can get me the wiring harness and switch, but that auction would save trying to source original parts separately. MBenzNL told me that it would run 1200-1300 Euro to get all of the parts new.

BUT - I would have to either source out another switch panel or cut a hole in mine.

I have the buttons on my rear view mirror and I do have the button for the tow alarm (I assume thats what SAAB is talking about?) I do not have the folding mirrors OR the rear slider.... I wish I had the rear slider. I also do not have the wipers for my headlights and I am GLAD I don't, I think they look stupid.. just my personal taste. You can install the HID kit into almost anything you want as long as it will fit and you can mount the ballast close enough. I had to drill a hole into the bottom of the housing for the fogs, the kit comes with a weather grommet that allowed the wires to run through the hole I cut and seal it from outside moisture. The kit is a snap to install, the hardest part is finding where to mount the ballast. I just installed mine 2 days ago and it took about 2 hours including the time to reset my bumper guide rails to close the gap between the quarter panel and the bumper, check out the "2 birds with 1 stone" thread.

I envy you having the rear window slider, I'm going to get one from MB with a new shelf.

Can someone tell me what this is. It was broken when I bought the car and I assumed it was the manual release for the sunroof but I looked at it closer and it looks like it might be electrical, I could be wrong. What is it and how can I pull the mirror off to fix it.

Your mystery photo: No idea, but can't see clearly if it is in front or behind the mirror assembly. Are the light roof switches reflected in the rear view mirror??
My audio unit is a single CD player. It has the plug but not the 10CD unit in the back. Don't have time to listen to music (despite that I was a rock band musician, many, many years ago...). I prefer to listen to the mechanical noise and the engine living away up front The audio unit does have the Bose speakers though.

The thing I am talking about is in front of the rear view mirror, yes that is the reflection. If you look at the picture you can see that the bottom of the pic is the rear view mirror.

That broken piece above your mirror I believe is the microphone for the integrated cellphone option.

Ah, now that sounds very logical. As I don't have the phone option in mine, don't have that piece of equipment.

I bet you were one of the guys in Krokus or in Gothard?
we've got a celebrity on this AMG section!!!!!!!!

If you have a BOSE system in your car, the AUDIO10 cd isn't supposed to work with BOSE!
this cd was never delivered from factory with BOSE setup!
Only AUDIO 30 tapedeck or the APS 30 cd navigator.

Audio 10 must have been retrofitted on your car.
rip it out and get the APS 30!
way better audio sound for you!
cheers rockstar

on my drivers side A-pillar pole I have a tiny black microphone connected to my previous tapedeck AUDIO 30 CC.
now that I have switched my deck for an MB AUDIO 30 APS Navigator, is this microphone connected to my new deck with the ISO wireloom plugs?

Anyone having the MB AUDIO 30 with BOSE you know how the microphone looks like.
Does MB AUDIO 30 APS have this gadget?
