Air box missing emblem??
So I just noticed my air box is missing the mercedes emblem. I seem to see it on every other C43, what's the deal??? It looked like it was part of the air box on all the ones I have seen, is it just glued on and mine fell off??

Mine is still on, even if a flake of the plastic chrome painting has fallen off...

my star recently came off - was doing a quick wipedown after while detailing and the whole emblem just crumbled apart. They are made from plastic and with age and heat the plastic was very brittle. It looks as though it is a piece that pops into three or four mounting holes so an easy fix I'm sure.

yeah what isn't $$$$ from the dealer....... I will say this, the all season mats are actually a GREAT deal from the stealership IMO. $60 for 4 mats that custom fit my car MADE by MB, thought for sure they would want at least double that.

I've still got three of my cast aluminum AMG emblems for the C36 engine cover. Not plastic and they will last forever, old school style but im sure it would look good, def better than having nothing there at all.

My engine bay looks like DRB's, not like Koich's - the very minor difference I see is that Koich's has a plastic case around the wiring harness on the firewall. Mine looks like DRB's - just the mesh wrapping around the harness, no plastic case.
Koich, I don't suppose there's a part number stamped on that plastic case anywhere?
Another question for you all - I've seen pix of C43s with a further mesh / grille around the electric cooling fans at the front of the car. Mine doesn't have anything either, the fans just sit there on their own.

Oh yeah, and my engine bay's dirtier and dustier than anyone else's! And I bet no one has a broken off ring on the oil dipstick like I do either! Don't ask how that happened...I was trying to get at something and something slipped and I don't remember the details...

Here is a pic of my engine bay...... I feel so naked after looking at all of yours
Here is a pic of my fans, alas I do not have the "mesh" that you spoke of
I also do not have the plastic wiring harness, mine appears to be a nylon mesh like material.

I would like to take that bet as I believe this is my broken dipstick?

Anyone have a part number for the outside mesh? I realize there is free access to the online EPC, but I cannot register as I'm Canadian, and I've tried even with my US shipping address, no joy. Boo. I'm fairly certain my car was involved in a front ender at some point in its life, so that could explain it.
503, I think that lower portion of the engine cover is the same as on contemporary '55' cars, hopefully you can snag one from a wrecker or something.
