059 aej. 98/2 = change of model year 05"9" represents the change from 98 to 99

774 = rolled fenders
776 = not sure what this is but I think it has something to do with your wheels

As mentioned
774 rolled fenders
776 "go faster" rubber bands which may fly off if you go fast enough I have them on mine. I like, don't like, my opinion is split. They can protect the bodywork damage by irresponsible door openers

yeah, I guess my car is faster than your senior permobile?
driving the car like an ol' fart makes the strips stay on the car?
driving like a maniac at speed of lite stuff falls off I guess?

Sorry you are wrong because I have a secret weapon. The ol' fart as you say uses the gas generated in his senior permobile to inject into the intake. Much better and effective than a shot of Nox, but shhhhh don't tell anyone. My rubber strips are welded on, but shhhh again that's another secret weapon the use of which I will not discuss to anyone without the presence of my lawyer. Makes a better car that a James Bondmobile IMO

I can't remember if it was on this forum or another that the question was asked regarding the part #s for the rubber "go faster" fender strips. Finally found them in the EPC

All the info you need is attached to these two pdf files:

i'm glad i don't have black strips on wheel arches
sand particles, salt and other grime will stick between trim strips and body chewing paint and rusting body

das ist nicht gut rustwise!

Mine doesn't have any rust around there, elsewhere yes unfortunately in the usual rust places and that's going to be a project over the winter. I imagine you can easily remove the strips (like all the badges and lettering) and probably glue back on again if you need to check the condition underside

I guess each to his own, but as I have them on the option code list they remain.

The rubber fenders I'd expect to see on a taxi cab in Europe, not an AMG. Just because you can doesn't mean it should be done..
